IPL 2021: CSK vs MI- Head to Head Records, Chennai Super Kings’ H2H Record Against Mumbai Indians. The first game of the second leg of IPL 2021 will have Mumbai Indians take on Chennai Super Kings at Dubai International Cricket Ground on Sunday. Chennai Super Kings ticked all boxes during the India leg of the tournament.
Be it batting, bowling or fielding, they excelled in all departments. Currently, they are sitting at the second position on the points table with 5 wins in 7 matches. Had they not lost their last game against MI, they would have ended the first leg of the tournament at the top spot.
Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad have given solid starts at the top of the order. Moeen Ali’ promotion at number three gave them rich dividends. Add to that, Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja have done a fantastic job at the fag end of the innings. MS Dhoni’s poor run of form is perhaps the only concern for them right now.
As far as bowling is concerned, Deepak Chahar and Sam Curran made great returns in the first half of the tournament. Add to that, Josh Hazlewood’s comeback in the squad will further bolster their fast bowling unit. Chennai Super Kings endured a torrid run in the last season in UAE. The fans would be hoping that they don’t make the same mistakes this year as they did last year.
Mumbai Indians struggled badly at Chepuak, where they played the first five games this year. The batting unit struggled to get going on a pitch, which was slow and low. They managed to pick 2 wins out of their first five games. However, they won their next two games which were played in Delhi and jumped to number four on the points table with 4 wins in 7 games.
The action now moves to UAE and Rohit and Co. would be desperate to come back into their elements. Mumbai Indians is the most successful team in the history of the IPL. One would expect them to play well in UAE.
However, all they would be thinking right now is the game on Sunday. Mumbai Indians played their last game of the India leg of IPL 2021 against Chennai Super Kings. They won that game by 4 wickets and would be keen on beating them once again. It will be interesting to see how both the teams fare against each other once more this season at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
