IPL 2021: We Need To Find The Way Of Getting Results - Eoin Morgan

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Eoin Morgan feels his side doesn’t have too much to think about and need to find ways of getting the outcomes in their favour. KKR sit at the 7th spot in the points table with 2 wins and 5 losses by the halfway stage of the tournament.

Eoin Morgan, who himself has had a disappointing time with the bat so far scoring 92 runs at a strike rate of 112.20, asserted that KKR’s back is against the walls and they have to win games to stay alive in the competition.

“We need to look in just one way. We can control absolutely everything from here on in. There’s no looking behind. We need to find the way of getting results and everybody in the team, our fans, we all know that,” Eoin Morgan told kkr.in.

Eoin Morgan, though, believes that this situation where the team has nothing to lose with one shoe out of the playoff race makes them a dangerous side.

“I think that can make for a very exciting watching because it makes us a very dangerous side with nothing to lose. We need to go out there and chase results.”

The England captain talked about the environment in the dressing room amid difficult times. He also spoke regarding the trust and relationship of the captain with the players when the key moments arrive.

“The vibe around the team is very important; to have that camaraderie around the changing room, especially in big games, and in pressure moments. Having that relationship with the players or that trust with the player going into that moment in the game,” the left-hander stated.

KKR take on Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 20 in Abu Dhabi to resume their season.
