Top 5 Batsmen With The Most Sixes In IPL 2021. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians took on each other in the 30th match of IPL 2021 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium to mark the resumption of the second leg of IPL 2021. CSK and DC have continued to dominate the season, while Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are finding it hard to adjust to the conditions.

As many as 8 matches have been played since the start of the second leg of IPL 2021 and the batsmen haven’t enjoyed batting a lot. The slow nature of the pitches in the UAE hasn’t allowed the batsmen to get going right from the start of the innings. Out of 8 games, only one game between PBKS vs RR saw a high-scoring contest.

Having said that, the batsmen have managed to hit the ball out of the park on a number of occasions. The fans have witnessed a lot of sixes in IPL 2021. In this article, we look at five players who have hit the most number of sixes in IPL 2021.

CSK decision to bat at Moeen Ali at number three in IPL 2021 has worked wonders for them. The English all-rounder grabbed the opportunity with both hands and played a number of solid cameos at the top of the order.

Moeen Ali has ensured CSK score runs at a brisk pace in the first 10 overs. In IPL 2021, Moeen Ali has hit 14 sixes in 9 matches. With that bat, he has managed to score 229 runs in 9 matches at an average of 28.62.

Kieron Pollard: 15 sixes

Kieron Pollard has played a few outstanding knocks this season, making a vital contribution in MI’s couple of wins this season. Having said that, he hasn’t been consistent with his performance as MI’s middle order struggled to adapt to the conditions at Chepauk and in UAE.

His overall numbers though aren’t that bad. Pollard has managed to score 204 runs in 9 matches at an average of 40.80. Pollard has hit the fourth-highest number of sixes this season, with 15 to his name.

Jonny Bairstow: 15 sixes

Jonny Bairstow batted ruthlessly for SRH in the first leg of IPL 2021. He was one of the few bright spots for the franchise this season. He hit 15 sixes in just 7 matches in the India leg of the tournament. Bairstow made great returns with the bat, scoring 248 runs in 7 matches at an average of 41.33.

In a big blow for SRH, Bairstow made himself unavailable for the second leg of IPL 2021. His absence is hurting the team badly. On Saturday, SRH became the first team to get knocked out of the playoffs in IPL 2021.

Faf du Plessis: 15 sixes

Chennai Super Kings opener is right up there at second position with 15 sixes to his name. Faf du Plessis has been brilliant this season with the bat for CSK. He has managed to give brilliant starts to his franchise for the most part of the India leg of IPL 2021.

Faf du Plessis has scored 351 runs in 10 matches at an average of 50.14. The South African cricketer, however, hasn’t made a great start to the UAE leg of the tournament, having managed to score 0 and 31 in his last two games. He would be aiming to make a strong comeback and add more sixes to his tally.

KL Rahul: 18 sixes

KL Rahul has continued to be the highest run-getter for Punjab Kings for the third consecutive season. While he is currently the second in the list of highest run-getters, nobody has hit more sixes than KL Rahul this season.

In 9 matches, he has hit 18 sixes thus far. He began his UAE leg with a 49-run knock off 33 balls against Rajasthan Royals. Hopefully, he will score a lot more such knocks in the upcoming matches.
