Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni has once again won the hearts of fans with his humble and down-to-earth nature during a practice session ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

MS Dhoni was accosted by a few fans while working out with his club, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who wanted photos and signatures. Instead of rejecting them or expressing any displeasure, he obediently fulfilled their requests and made them feel important.

On social media, a video of MS Dhoni’s fans applauding him as he stepped out to bat has gone viral. The CSK captain is seen acknowledging the crowd by folding his hands.

MS Dhoni earlier stated that he wishes to play in front of the Chennai crowd before finally hanging up his boots. The 41-year-old’s wish will be granted this year, as the competition returns to its home-and-away format.

The upcoming season is being referred to be his final since the captain of the Chennai Super Kings will play in front of his home crowd in Chennai for the first time in a very long time. Rohit Sharma, captain of the Mumbai Indians, made the following statement regarding the probability that Captain Cool might play his final season of the IPL.

“I’ve been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season. I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons,” Rohit Sharma said in MI’s pre-season press conference.

Dhoni is an important member of the Chennai franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has made substantial contributions to the team’s success over the years. He has scored 4978 runs in 234 games and led his club to four IPL titles since the tournament’s debut in 2008.
