Against all odds, Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 in the end. After the IPL 2022 auction ended, nobody anticipated winning. However, the management made superb use of its tools and tactics. The team had several difficulties after a great beginning but still did well in the competition. Rival teams would be warier of GT now, though.
In the upcoming edition, they intend to defend their dominance. A number of noteworthy individuals, including Lockie Ferguson, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Jason Roy, Varun Aaron, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and Dominic Drakes, were freed by GT prior to the December 23 mini-auction.

Many of the players on the list of those who have been publicly revealed are known short-format performers, and some of them are anticipated to be in great demand during the IPL 2023 auction. There are others, though, that might not pique the franchisees’ attention and end up unsold at the future auction.
Let’s have a look at the 3 players released by Gujarat Titans (GT) who might go unsold in the auction.
IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Players Released By Gujarat Titans (GT) Who Might Go Unsold In The Auction
Varun Aaron
At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the Gujarat Titans purchased veteran fast bowler Varun Aaron for his basic price of INR 50 lakhs. Varun Aaron, one of India’s fastest bowlers, had a career hampered by repeated injuries that sapped his natural talent. Varun Aaron, who had grown in stature over the years, was most productive in the 2014 and 2017 seasons.
He took two victims in as many IPL 2022 games, averaging 26 runs per game, and gave up runs at a pace of 10.4. He played three games in the IPL 2020 without picking up a wicket.
Jason Roy
Jason Roy was purchased by Gujarat Titans for a staggering two crore in the mega-auction, demonstrating their confidence in the English opener. However, Roy withdrew from the competition due to bio-bubble fatigue, disrupting the team’s lineup for the entire season.
Due to his commitment concerns and poor batting performance, GT decided to dismiss Roy for the upcoming season. The 32-year-old is unlikely to find a buyer as a result. Due to Roy’s poor performance, the English team that won the World Cup benched him for the World Cup. Roy has only participated in 13 IPL games, but he has scored 329 runs.
Gurkeerat Singh Mann
One of the most seasoned middle-order batsmen on the local Indian circuit is the veteran Punjab all-rounder. Gurkeerat Singh Mann was purchased by Gujarat Titans for INR 50 lakh at the IPL 2022 auction.
Gurkeerat Singh Mann was unable to make the Gujarat Titans starting XI for the IPL 2022 due to the ascent of Sai Sudharsan and Abhinav Manohar. With the age not by his side, Mann may find it difficult to have any buyer at the 2023 IPL auction.
