Lucknow Super Giants locked Manan Vohra for 20 lakhs in the IPLO 2022 mega auction. However, due to the presence of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock at the top, he could not get to play too many matches. He scored 19 runs in the only match he batted in the season. Vohra had his best time in the IPL with the previously-named Kings XI Punjab where he scored 957 runs in 45 games across four seasons. With all the franchises having a settled opening pair, Vohra would not have been a potential choice for the owners.

The West Indies all-rounder was bought for his base price of 50 lakhs by the Lucknow Super Giants. However, he did not get to play a single match for the franchise. He has not played in any other league apart from the Caribbean Premier League. Recently he was picked up by the Durban Super Giants which is owned by the owners of LSG. Not having played too much cricket against India and in India might be one of the reasons why he could have been overlooked next season.

UP spinner Karan Sharma was roped in by LSG for 20 lakhs ahead of IPL 2022. He came into the scene not having too much experience in domestic cricket. He has played six First-Class, 23 Lis A, and 18 T20s for Uttar Pradesh.

Being a specialist spinner, he can bat a bit as well. However, there has been no noteworthy performance by the cricketer recently in domestic cricket. His last competitive game was in the Duleep Trophy against West Zone where he picked up just one wicket in 14 overs. Not having too much knowledge about the cricketer might have forced the franchises to not consider him.
