The 56th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 took place between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It’s fair to say that the game was all about young Yashasvi Jaiswal as he batted exceptionally well and won the game for his side.

The target of 150 was made look like a mere 50 as such was the caliber of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s innings. He came out all guns blazing as he smashed 26 runs in the first over to take his side off the flyer.

If this was not enough he then went on to smash the fastest half-century in the history of the league. Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved the feat in just 13 balls. He was well supported by skipper Sanju Samson who kept giving him strike to continue the momentum.

With the way Yashasvi Jaiswal batted, the century was on the cards for him. But the target being less didn’t allow him to reach his ton. But RR skipper Sanju Samsom gave every possible effort to allow the young batter to reach his century.

With just 3 runs needed, it looked like KKR spinner Suyash Sharma deliberately bowled a down-the-leg delivery. But Sanju Samson somehow managed to put a bat on it and defend it. He then gestured Jaiswal to hit a six on the first ball of the next over. The youngster however couldn’t manage a maximum but ended the game with a four.
