Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) interim skipper Virat Kohli attained a huge feat in the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League 2023 against M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Virat Kohli now has 101 catches to his name in the history of IPL and he became just the third player to achieve the feat in the league.

Virat Kohli had taken a key catch of Devdutt Padikkal in the 12th over when the partnership between Padikkal & Yashasvi Jaiswal was looking threatening as they scored 98 runs in 66 balls. Virat Kohli later took a stunning catch of Yashasvi Jaiswal at long on and registered his 101st catch in IPL as Yashasvi was dismissed for 47 runs in 37 balls.

Under Kohli’s regime (*stand-in skipper as Faf du Plessis is not 100% fit), the RCB unit is looking like a rejuvenated one. Virat has rotated the bowlers smartly and didn’t panic even when Yashasvi & Padikkal were whacking the bowlers all around the park.

RR need another 82 runs in the last 6 overs with 7 wickets in hand as RCB holds a slight edge over RR. RR will need their skipper Sanju Samson to play a match-winning cameo as every time Hetmyer won’t win the matches for the team.
