Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir got into a verbal argument after the game between the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore was over, which caused the animosity from the match to continue.

At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the first clash between these two teams this season ended in dramatic fashion when LSG defeated them on the final ball while chasing 213 runs. Gautam Gambhir, the LSG batting coach, had drawn attention after the match with his celebratory gesture after the dramatic victory.

The former India opener erupted in jubilation as soon as LSG claimed victory. He was spotted rejoicing by throwing a mouthful. After that, Gambhir continued to push the envelope by using a “finger on the lips” motion to silence the Chinnaswamy crowd.

In Lucknow on Monday, Virat Kohli decided to respond to Gautam Gambhir’s antics from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The RCB star was fired up right away and didn’t miss a single chance to exhibit his expressive side.

Virat Kohli also hushed the Ekana Stadium after accepting Krunal Pandya’s catch, imitating Gambhir. The former captain of India was seen putting his finger to his mouth and requesting that the home crowd be quiet. He was also spotted fighting with Amit Mishra later on in the match as the experienced spinner was batting.

After the game, when Kohli and Gambhir confronted one another, things got out of hand. While players from both sides surrounded them and attempted to diffuse the situation, the former India teammates were engaged in an ugly altercation. Then, to get the situation under control, Mishra and LSG coach Vijay Dahiya were seen pushing Kohli away as Rahul drew Gambhir away.

Although Lucknow was playing at their home venue, it seemed as if the passion for Virat Kohli and RCB among the home fans was much more than for the home side. Now, a video has emerged after the game wherein the Lucknow crowd chanted Virat Kohli’s name when Naveen-ul-Haq went to collect his accolades after the game.
