Former England captain Michael Vaughan feels Jasprit Bumrah is the most powerful pacer in international cricket. Vaughan has placed Jasprit Bumrah above legends like Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Trent Boult.

Jasprit Bumrah is part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. The right-arm pacer is the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2024 with 10 scalps in 5 matches. He clinched a five-wicket haul in the previous match against RCB to win the Player of the Match award.

Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler for all conditions: Michael Vaughan

Cricketer-turned-commentator Michael Vaughan heaped praises on Jasprit Bumrah during Beer Biceps show. While speaking to host Ranveer Allahabadia on YouTube, Vaughan said Bumrah is the best bowler to pick for all conditions and all formats.

"If you're asking most people around the world if you could pick one fast bowler for all conditions for all formats, Jasprit Bumrah is the number one on the list. Yeah, he's just incredible", the former England all-rounder said.

Vaughan also placed Bumrah above pace legends like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Trent Boult among others. He feels Bumrah's action gives him an edge over other pacers.

"There have been some world-class bowlers you know, New Zealand's Trent Boult and Tim Southee have been great for many years. Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad are incredible bowlers. Pat Cummins, Hazlewood Starc, Mitchell Starc are incredible bowlers but Bumrah is just a little bit [above]".

"He has got just that action. Because of his release, he gets a little bit closer to the battle which is obviously giving him that extra bit of pace, accuracy, reverse swing, conventional swing, variation, bounces, you name it and Bumrah has got absolutely everything", the 45-year-old added.

Bumrah returned to the field last year

Notably, Jasprit Bumrah was out of the field for almost a year due to back surgery. He returned to the field in August 2023 last year during the Ireland tour. Since then, he has executed an amazing show for Team India.

Bumrah also starred in the India vs England Test series earlier this year. The right-arm pacer clinched 19 wickets across 4 games to help India win the series 4-1. The MI pacer has also shown magnificent form in IPL 2024, picking 10 wickets in 5 games so far for Mumbai Indians at an 11.90 average.

The MI pacer hunted a 5-wicket haul in the previous match vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Earlier, he clinched 2/22 vs Delhi Capitals and 3/14 vs Gujarat Titans. He went wicketless in two games. However, he has kept an incredible economy below 9 in all games. Overall, his economy stands at 5.95.
Mumbai Indians have won their last two games and account for 2 wins across 5 games in IPL 2024. They will collide with Chennai Super Kings in their next match on Sunday, April 14 at Wankhede Stadium.
