Revealed: Who are the impact players nominated by LSG and GT for game 21 of IPL 2024

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will be up against each other in the 21st game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). The LSG vs GT match is being played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Hosts LSG are brimming with confidence after registering emphatic wins in their last two games. Their season began with a dismal 20-run loss against Rajasthan Royals before the KL Rahul-led side showed why they are one of the most consistent teams in the IPL in the last couple of seasons. After the loss in the opener, they bounced back with a brilliant win against Punjab Kings.

It was followed by another brilliant win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their own backyard. The biggest architect of both the victories was definitely Mayank Yadav. The fast-bowler has just blown teams away with his extreme pace and LSG will be hoping for another good show from their new star.

On the other hand, GT have started their season with two wins and as many losses under new captain Shubman Gill. They started their season with a win over Mumbai Indians before losing against Chennai Super Kings. GT bounced back quickly with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad before suffering another loss against Punjab Kings. They will be eyeing a win tonight to get back to winning ways.

LSG have won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at toss, LSG captain KL Rahul said: "We are going to bat first. Looks like a good wicket, we batted first in the last two games, defended pretty well. They have a better record against us, but they have been a better team. We are playing with the same team.

"It's still his (Mayank Yadav) first season, a few injuries have been hard on his body. For a 21 old boy he's very professional. It's important for us to manage him. We have some good fast bowlers and we have Morne and others to look after him," he added.

GT captain Shubman Gill said: "We would have bowled first, so happy. We were top on the game for 33 overs of the match, the last 7 overs didn't go in our favour. We have a couple of changes. Saha misses out due to a back spasm and BR Sharath makes his debut for us. Spencer comes back in for Omarzai. We got to forget what has happened in the previous match."
