IND vs NZ 2021: Aakash Chopra Predicts About 3rd T20I, Feels India Will Whitewash New Zealand 3-0 With Yet Another Victory

Indian cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has made predictions about India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I encounter, set to take place today (November 21) at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. Aakash Chopra feels that India will win the clash and whitewash the visitors in the series. The former Indian cricketer also feels that India will be ruthless during the match.

India crushed New Zealand in the first two T20I games in Jaipur and Ranchi. India outplayed the Tim Southee-led New Zealand side in the first match by 5 wickets. Later, Rohit Sharma and boys out past the visitors in the 2nd T20I game by 7 wickets. Along with a 2-0 lead, India have already won the T20I series.

I Have The Full Expectation Of An Indian Win In 3rd T20I: Aakash Chopra

While speaking on his Youtube Channel, the 44-year-old commentator mentioned that he has full expectations of India’s victory in the next game. According to Aakash Chopra, India’s wounds of World Cup defeat against New Zealand are still fresh, and hence they will aim to crush the visitors in IND vs NZ 3rd T20I. New Zealand defeated India in ICC T20 World Cup 2021 last month, which played a major role in India’s group-stage exit in the tournament.

“I am still saying India will win, I mean India will win again. India is going to be ruthless because the World Cup’s wounds are still fresh. So I don’t think they will take the foot off the accelerator. So, I have the full expectation of an Indian win,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube show.

The former India opener also predicted that Indian pacers will have a high economy rate than the Kiwi pacers. Moreover, Aakash Chopra also feels that runs will be flooded in the powerplay overs, and more than 90 runs will be scored.

“I feel New Zealand pacers’ economy rate will be slightly better than the Indian pacers. Why, I have got no idea. Maybe because Lockie Ferguson will play this game, and he will bowl well. More than 90 runs will be scored in the powerplay overs.

“That means both teams will again hit a lot. Whoever opens, the bowlers will be hit a lot. Probably there will be even more dew here than in Ranchi,” Aakash Chopra added.

In the first two games, both the teams hit a lot of runs in the powerplay overs. For instance, New Zealand slammed 41 and 64 runs in the first 6 overs in both games while India smacked 56 and 45 runs.

While New Zealand’s top order did a good job in piling up runs, their middle-order failed to follow up the excellent start in both games. This resulted in New Zealand failing to reach a high total while batting first.
