KL Rahul will be the other opener for the team. He could only score 15 runs in the first T20I. However, he went on to give good support to Rohit Sharma at the start. The Rahul-Rohit pair smashed 50 runs in the first 5 overs, giving a spectacular batting start to the team.

Suryakmar Yadav played an astonishing knock of 62 runs for the team in IND vs NZ 1st T20I. His match-winning knock helped India to reach the target in time. Yadav slammed 6 fours and 3 sixes during his knock, batting at a strike rate of 155.0. The team might retain him in the 2nd T20I as well.

Shreyas Iyer will bat the middle-order. Iyer is making a comeback to the national team after a long time. He last played for the country during England vs India series in March this year. In the last game, the right-handed batsman got out for just 5 runs. He will aim for a good knock this time.

Rishabh Pant will be the wicketkeeper for India in the IND vs NZ 2nd T20I encounter. Pant might be replaced to give a chance to Ishan Kishan, but it is most likely to happen in the final T20I game. Ravichandran Ashwin will be one of the spinners in the next game as well as the bowling all-rounder. Ashwin bowled an impressive spell in the 1st game. The off-spinner picked 2 wickets in his 4 overs while conceding just 23 runs. Ashwin’s two consecutive wickets in the 14th over helped India to dominate New Zealand’s batting and it was one of the important moments for India.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Spinner Axar Patel did not manage to pick any wicket in IND vs NZ 1st T20I and he was the only bowler who ended wicketless. In the next game, the team might give a chance to Yuzvendra Chahar instead of Patel. Since Chahal is a leg spinner, his inclusion with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will give more variations to the Indian spin attack in the game.

Mohammed Siraj went quite expensive in the IND vs NZ 1st T20I. In his 4 overs, the right-arm bowler conceded 39 runs. He did pick 1 wicket but that too towards the end which did not make much of a difference. The team might give a chance to uncapped Harshal Patel instead of Siraj in the next match. Patel executed a fabulous show during IPL 2021 which has earned him a national call.
