India will take on New Zealand in the 3rd and final T20I encounter in the ongoing home series. The IND vs NZ 3rd T20I will take place on November 21 (Sunday) at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. India have already won the series 2-0 after winning the first two games. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian side defeated New Zealand in the 1st T20I game by 5 wickets.

Later, India outplayed New Zealand in the 2nd T20I by 7 wickets. Now, India will aim for a clean sweep against New Zealand in the series. New Zealand, led by Tim Southee in the absence of Kane Williamson, will seek to finish the series on a winning note and evade a whitewash against the hosts. Rohit Sharma is the new skipper of India in T20Is and will lead the team in IND vs NZ 3rd T20I as well. The right-handed batsman will open the innings with KL Rahul in the match. As India have already captured a series victory, Ruturaj Gaikwad might be given a chance in the next game. Gaikwad finished as the highest run-getter in IPL 2021 and was a crucial batsman for champions Chennai Super Kings. He is an emerging youngster for India.

Suryakumar Yadav will be another batsman at the middle-order. Yadav got out for just 1 run in the previous game. However, he stromed a match-winning knock of 62 runs in IND vs NZ 1st T20I. He also won the player of the match award in that game.

Another change that coach Rahul Dravid might make in the next game is giving an opportunity to Ishan Kishan instead of Rishabh Pant as a wicketkeeper. Pant did a good job in both the games by remaining unbeaten and hitting the winning shots. Now, he could be rested as India have already won the series. Hence, Ishan Kishan might be picked as the wicketkeeper in the next game.
