Newly-appointed India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has reached Jaipur ahead of the New Zealand series without his support staff.
India will play a T20 International series against the Black Caps which will begin from November 17 and the complete Indian squad will very soon reach Jaipur to play the first T20 International game of the series.
Meanwhile, India will be playing the T20 Internationals series with their newly appointed captain Rohit Sharma. Previously, Virat Kohli who was all-format captain of India announced that ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 will be his last run in T20 Internationals cricket as a captain and everyone expected that his deputy Rohit Sharma will be taking over the captaincy responsibility and it did happen as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), announced that Rohit Sharma will be taking the charge.
The expectations of fans from the Rohit-Rahul duo is very high after India’s poor performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Notably, India lost the first two games of the tournament against Pakistan and New Zealand and were eventually knocked out of the tournament.
Rahul Dravid Still Doesn’t Have A Support Staff – Reports
According to reports Rahul Dravid still doesn’t have a support staff that will help him in the upcoming series against New Zealand National Cricket Team.
However, Inside sports have reported that BCCI has already selected the bowling and field coach. Paras Mhambrey is expected to take the bowling coach responsibilities, T Dilip will be the new fielding coach and Vikram Rathour is expected to continue as the batting coach of the Indian team. Some reports also claim that Dravid wants Abhay Sharma to become the next bowling coach.
