Sudharsan has impressed with his performance in IPL with the Gujarat Titans team, which also helped him to make his international debut. Sai Sudharsan is a left-handed batsman who plays in the top order. He also bowls leg spin but has refrained from bowling regularly. He made his international debut in 2023 during an ODI series against South Africa. Early Life and Career Sai Sudharsan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on October 15, 2001. He belonged to a sports family. His father R. Bharadwaj was an athlete who represented India in the South Asian Games. His mother Usha Bharadwaj was a state-level volleyball player. Sudharsan trained under his childhood coach M Venkataramana in his early career. In 2021, he was picked by the Tamil Nadu State team in the domestic circuit. With his brilliant and consistent show in domestic format, Gujarat Titans bought him in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He impressed with his performance in two seasons. He played a few games in both seasons but gave wonderful performances. International Career He gave a wonderful show in IPL 2023, leading his team Gujarat Titans to the final. Later, he was overlooked for the Asian Games 2023. However, he was later picked for an ODI series against South Africa. Sai Sudharsan has played 3 ODI games for India so far and slammed 127 runs including a half-century. In IPL, he has played about 25 games and holds an average of 47.0. He has also stormed a century in IPL. At the age of just 21 years, Sudharsan has made a name for himself. He is being looked upon as an emerging top-order batsman who can cement his place in the national team, especially in longer game formats.
