PSL 2022: Rashid Khan Rubbishes Reports Of Participation In The Final

Star Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has rubbished the reports of his participation in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022.
Previously, few reports had claimed that the Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan may fly to Lahore to represent Lahore Qalandars in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven final on Sunday.

However, Rashid took to Twitter to confirm that he will not be able to join the Lahore Qalandars in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 because his national duty is his priority.
He further wished Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi and the entire group best of luck for the summit clash.
“It would’ve been great to be part of @lahoreqalandars and play alongside lads in @thePSLt20 final. I won’t be able to make it for the finals due to National Duty which is always a first priority.I wish my captain @iShaheenAfridi @sameenrana and team GOOD LUCK INSHALLAH.” Rashid Khan tweeted.

Notably, Rashid Khan left the Pakistan Super League 2022 after playing 9 games because he wanted to fulfil his national duties by playing for Afghanistan in the series against Bangladesh. Rashid was able to bag 13 wickets in Pakistan Super League 2022 and Fawad Khan was named as his replacement for the season.

The final of the Pakistan Super League will be played on Sunday, February 27, between Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans and Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 6 runs in the playoffs to enter the final of the T20 tournament and Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 28 runs to become the first team to qualify for the final of the Pakistan Super League 2022.
