Former Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Hafeez, Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Azhar Ali couldn’t control their laughter as they discussed Iftikhar’s Ahmed. The panelists of the A sports were discussing the role the right-hander can play for the team.
Mohammad Hafeez, who was recently removed as the director of the Pakistan Cricket Team, was highlighting how crucial role Iftikhar Ahmed can play for the Pakistan team in the next 5-7 years. The former skipper of the team pointed out that the all-rounder is 33 years old now and could be vital.
Mohammad Hafeez said “Iftikhar Ahmed is just 33 years old, he can still play an important role for Pakistan for another 6-7 years”
However, as he was talked about the role of Iftikhar Ahmed, he couldn’t continue his talk as he broke into laughter. The entire panel of the former Pakistan cricketers couldn’t hold their laugh. The video of the incident went viral on the internet in no time and made many speculate about the age of the all-rounder.

Even his Pakistan teammates in Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and others tease him for his age. Whenever Iftikhar Ahmed calls any of his teammates his brother, they react hilariously to it, saying that they aren’t his brothers as the all-rounder is much older than them and he shouldn’t make such comments.
On the cricket front, irrespective of his age, Iftikhar Ahmed has been sensational with bat and ball for his team. Batting down the order, the all-rounder has played some brutal knocks for his team. Apart from this, he has been handy with the ball as well and has chipped in at crucial junctures for his team.
Iftikhar Ahmed has played 28 ODIs for Pakistan and has slammed 614 runs at a strike rate of over 106. He also has hit one half-century and one century. With the ball, he has picked 16 wickets with the best of 5/40. In 54 T20Is, he has scored 858 runs at a strike rate of around 130. With the ball, he has also picked up 7 wickets.
