During the upcoming Sri Lanka tour of India 2022, the IND vs SL T20I series will witness 3 encounters. The IND vs SL Test series will consist of two matches.

The India vs Sri Lanka T20I series will be played first, followed by the Test series. The T20I series will commence on February 24 (Thursday) with the first encounter, set to take place at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The 2nd and 3rd T20I will take place on February 26 (Saturday) and February 27 (Sunday) respectively. Both the clashes will take place at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.

The IND vs SL 1st Test will take place from March 4 to March 8 at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test will take place from March 12 to March 16 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

India and Sri Lanka last locked horns with each other during India’s tour of Sri Lanka 2021 in July last year. Both the teams battled against each other in an ODI and T20I series. India won the ODI series 2-1 while Sri Lanka won the T20I series 2-1.

India will be led by Rohit Sharma in IND vs SL T20I series. India has named an 18-member squad for the T20I series. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been given rest for the T20I series.

Mohammed Shami is absent from the squad but Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the team after missing the IND vs WI series. Ravindra Jadeja will make a comeback to the squad after a long time.

BCCI has nominated Rohit Sharma as the new Test skipper of India. Hence, the right-handed batsman is now the captain of India in all three formats. Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been rested for IND vs SL Test series. Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is also rested for the series.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will be back to the squad in the Test series. Shubman Gill returns to the Test side along with Ravindra Jadeja. Mohammed Shami will be back in the Test series but Ishant Sharma is not part of the squad. Uncapped players like Priyank Panchal and Srikar Bharat have also been given a spot in the squad.
