The second Test between India and Sri Lanka stars from March 122 in Bengaluru. It is a day-night Test match. Only Kolkata and Ahmedabad have previously hosted a Pink-Ball Test in India. Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has shared his predictions ahead of the second Test.
India beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the first Test in Mohali. The Test match was memorable for more than one reason for the Indian cricket team. It was Virat Kohli’s 100th Tets match, Rohit Sharma’s first as India captain and a Test match that saw Ravindra Jadeja‘s career-best knock with the bat.
Play The Best Team In Test Cricket: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra in his recent Youtube video was asked whether India should consider making two playing Xis in Test cricket. The thought behind the same was giving ample amount of opportunities to the bench strength and also rotating the players around keeping in mind their workload.

“In my opinion, play the best team in Test cricket. You might keep saying that it is the best format but in that format, if we don’t play Kohli, Rohit and Bumrah, it will stop. It is already on the ventilator and after that, it will just die” said Chopra.
He further said that even a full-strength side can lose Tets matches and the Test series against South Africa overseas was an evident example of the same.
“It is a good thought to entertain your heart because our full team lost 2-1 in South Africa. We used to win the toss but lose the match. We couldn’t even stop fourth-innings run chases, only Rohit Sharma was missing, the entire rest of the team was present. Did we win that, we didn’t” Chopra further added.

Both teams have different motives heading into the second Test. While India have a Test series to win, Sri Lanka have a chance to level the series, Though the first Test was a one-sided contest, the Pink-Ball Test is expected to be an event contest with the Lankans likely to have learnt from their mistakes in the first Test.
