I’ve made mistakes in the past and want to keep improving – Rishabh Pant
During the post-match presentation, Rishabh Pant said that a wicket-keeper needs to evolve his batting and keeping. He added that he has made a lot of mistakes in past and he wants to keep improving. Pant also revealed the reason behind playing a T20 calibre knock in a second Test match against Sri Lanka. He asserted:
“I think both (batting and keeping), you need to keep evolving, I’ve made mistakes in the past and want to keep improving. It’s not in my mindset, the wicket was difficult to play, so I thought I will look for quick runs.”
Rishabh Pant while talking about batting at no.5 said that he is ready to bat wherever the team management wants him to bat. He elaborated:
“I’ll do whatever the team management wants me to do (on batting at number five). I think it’s more about confidence, previously, I used to think too much, now I’m only focusing on every ball (referring to his improved keeping skills).”
