Ravi Shastri is one of the popular names going around in Indian cricket and he had announced his retirement at a very young age. Shastri played 80 tests and 150 ODIs for India from the period 1981 to 1992 and he was a very useful allrounder as well with his left-arm spin too.

Shastri was forced to retire at the age of 31 as he suffered a lot of injuries and he took up commentary very early. He also served as the Indian head coach from 2017 to 2021.

Being a premier swing bowler, Praveen Kumar played 6 tests, 68 ODIs and 6 T20Is and he played his last international game in 2012. He wasn’t a regular feature in IPL after that and his loss in pace meant that it was difficult for him to get into Indian team again. He announced his retirement in 2018 at the age of 32.

Saba Karim had a phenomenal first-class career and he was expected to get a longer run as wicketkeeper for India. However, he announced his retirement soon in 2000 once he suffered the injury.
