Team New Zealand on September 1, 2021, faced defeat against team Bangladesh for the first time in the history of T20 Internationals. Also, the record of 10-0 which New Zealand held against Bangladesh was the best unbeaten head-to-head record for any team in T20 Internationals.

Coming back to that game, New Zealand was bundled by Bangladesh at the score of 60 which is the lowest total of any team against Bangladesh in T20I cricket. The previous lowest total against Bangladesh was Australia who got bowled out the score of 62.

Also, the 60 all out of New Zealand against Bangladesh is the second-lowest T20I total by a full member nation, the team that has a lower score than the Kiwis is the West Indies who got bowled out at the score of 45 against England. However, while batting first in T20I cricket, the 60 all out of Blackcaps remains the lowest total by any Full Member team in men’s T20Is.

5. 86 vs South Africa

New Zealand locked horns with South Africa on December 21, 2012, at Kingsmead, Durban in the first T20 International match of the South Africa tour. The game was a one-sided encounter and The Proteas completely outshined Kiwis in all three departments.

The Brendon McCullum-led Blackcaps won the toss and invited South Africa to bowl first. South Africa did an outstanding job while bowling first as all the bowlers dominated the Kiwi batter. Sri Lanka faced off New Zealand in the 2nd T20I match of the 2-match T20I series on May 23, 2010, at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill. Eventually, the 2-match T20I series ended in the draw as both the teams successfully won one match each.

The match was the 3rd T20I dead rubber game at Christchurch which took place on Dec 30, 2010, and it was part of the Pakistan tour of New Zealand. On September 1, 2021, History was witnessed in the Shere Bangla National Stadium, when Bangladesh defeated New Zealand for the first time in T20 International cricket in the first match of the five-match T20I series. Adding to it, Bangladesh registered the win by 7 wickets and with 30 balls remaining. Notably, that match saw a batting horror show by Tom Latham’s led side.
