Asia Cup 2022: It’s Never Easy For A Captain To Focus On His Skills, Babar Azam Is Performing Well In All Three Formats – Mohammad Yousuf

Pakistan National Cricket Team batting coach Mohammad Yousuf has said that focusing on batting or bowling skills as a captain of the team is never an easy thing to do and the skipper of the Men In Green Babar Azam has been dominating with the bat across all three formats.

Babar Azam is currently the No.1 ranked batter in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings and ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings. Also, he is at the No.3 spot in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings. He will next be seen in action in the forthcoming Asia Cup. The Asia Cup 2022, which is the 15th edition of the tournament, is scheduled to be played from August 27 to September 11. The entire tournament is set to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf showered high praise on the Pakistan National Cricket Team captain and labelled him as a world-class player.

“Babar Azam is a world-class player and his consistent performance in all three formats from the last three years is the solid proof of his flight. It’s never easy for a captain to focus on his skills. In fact, he is performing well in all three formats,” said Yousuf on the sidelines of a practice session at the ICC academy in Dubai.

Speaking about Pakistan’s practice session ahead of the multi-nation tournament, Yousuf said:

“It’s hot and humid in Dubai but the boys are excited for the event and the team management has planned their practice sessions accordingly.”

“All the players are professional and they are aware of all possible scenarios. We had an intense practice session on Wednesday and the players put all their efforts.”

Two-time Asia Cup winners Pakistan National Cricket Team are set to lock horns with arch-rivals India National Cricket Team in their tournament opener on August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium.
