Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara said that his county stint with Mohammad Rizwan was enjoyable. The duo played together in the County Championship 2022 for Sussex.
They also shared several excellent partnerships and were often seen bonding in the practice sessions. Ahead of the Asia Cup clash between the two sides, Pujara said Rizwan is quite a talented cricketer.
“I enjoyed my time with him, he is a very nice guy and a talented cricketer,” Pujara tweeted.

“I picked up things from Cheteshwar Pujara mainly from the way he focuses” – Rizwan
Rizwan had earlier said that arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, love playing against each other. He also said that his county stint helped a lot as he learned from the experienced Pujara himself.
“Everyone wants to see Pakistan and India play bilateral series or other matches but the state-level affairs are not in the hands of the players,” Rizwan told reporters in Lahore.
“I get the impression that players of both sides want to play regularly against each other but we can’t do anything.”
“You learn from being with such senior players and I picked up things from Pujara mainly from the way he focuses and concentrates while batting,” he further added.
