Robin Uthappa, the former Indian cricketer, has given his thoughts on the current state of Indian cricket in a recent interview. When asked about the possibility of Rohit Sharma doing an MS Dhoni in this year’s ODI World Cup, Uthappa responded that it depends on where the tournament is being held.

He mentioned that the location of the tournament does not necessarily affect the outcome, but rather the mindset and performance of the players.

It Does Not Matter Where India Plays, It Matters How They Feel: Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa believes that Indian cricket has a lot to sort out to be successful. He believes that there are several players with a lot of potentials who are not getting enough opportunities to showcase their skills. This lack of opportunities is hindering the growth and development of these players, preventing them from reaching their full potential.

“It will be in India. But Indian cricket has a lot of things to sort out. Today, it doesn’t matter where India plays, it matters how players feel, and how they feel about their performances. If you give them the opportunity, they will show how much potential and calibre they have. Some players have a lot of potentials but not getting enough chances,” Robin Uthappa said.

Robin Uthappa is a firm believer in giving players the opportunity to show what they can do, regardless of the location of the tournament. He feels that with the right platform and support, these players can prove their worth and be a major asset to the Indian cricket team.

It is important to note that Uthappa’s views highlight the need for Indian cricket to identify and nurture young talent, rather than relying on established stars. This will not only help in building a strong and competitive team, but also ensure that Indian cricket remains relevant and dominant in the long run.
