Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith has once again grabbed eyeballs, but this time with a stunner in the slips. He dived to his right to take a one-handed catch to dismiss Cheteshwar Pujara.

Australia and India squared off in the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After resoundingly winning the first two games, Rohit Sharma and his team needed to win this one to guarantee their spot in the World Test Championship final game.

Cheteshwar Pujara tried to flick Lyon’s delivery, but he was unable to get the ball past a diving Steve Smith at leg slip who made an outstanding grab with one hand down to his right. Before it hit him directly, he wouldn’t have realized that it was difficult. To get away from the set Pujara, it required something unique, and that was exactly what it was.

In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Rohit Sharma’s squad India will face the visitors, the Australians, for the third time. The series is currently 2-0 in favour of the hosts, who have maintained the cherished silverware.
