India are in trouble after losing six wickets for just 71 runs during the second ODI between India and Australia at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 19. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was the last man to be dismissed for 31 runs off 35 balls by Nathan Ellis.

India didn’t get off to a good start after being asked to bat first. Mitchell Starc was unplayable with the new ball and dismissed Shubman Gill for zero on the third ball of the first over. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli built a partnership to stabilise the innings, but Starc struck twice in the fifth over, dismissing the Indian skipper and Suryakumar Yadav.

Nathan Ellis Traps Virat Kohli In Front Of Stumps

Virat Kohli came to the crease in the first over of the Indian innings. The 34-year-old seemed to be solid since the start of his innings, and placed the ball well in the gaps. The right-handed batter showed patience and scored some crucial runs at a good pace despite wickets falling from the other end.

The young bowler Nathan Ellis trapped Virat Kohli in front of the stumps while the batter was playing a flick shot. The Delhi-born cricketer got out in a similar fashion in the previous match while playing across the line. Mitchell Starc dismissed Kohli for four runs in the series opener by LBW, but he got success with that shot today before being dismissed.
