Danish Kaneria, a former Pakistan spinner, has slammed PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja for his explanation of the ‘dead’ Rawalpindi surface after Pakistan’s first Test against Australia finished in a dull draw.

Kaneria said on his YouTube channel that the PCB president was misleading Pakistan cricket fans with his “lame” explanations for constructing such a lifeless pitch for the much-anticipated match. He expressed himself as follows:

Ramiz Raja’s comments today were nothing more than a poor explanation, and they have misled Pakistani supporters. He lied to the fans and betrayed them. He was occupied with his son’s wedding, so it’s not a big deal. After the wedding, he noticed that the dead wicket was surrounded by a lot of commotion. The Test attracted a lot of attention because Australia was visiting Pakistan after such a long time, but what wicket did they produce for it? Stated Dinesh Kaneria.

Meanwhile, Raja underlined how the home team was missing numerous crucial players for the Test in a video published on social media by PCB. Because they didn’t have a full-strength group for the match, he acknowledged that there was no opportunity for experimenting.

Raja, according to the former cricketer, did not want Sindhi players to be in the spotlight. Danish Kaneria accused him of not providing Sindh and Karachi players with a fair chance.

“Is Sindh a separate country from Pakistan? What is the rationale behind this special treatment? I’m not afraid to state that Ramiz Raja is concerned that a Sindhi player might make it to the top. Stop being terrified; if you keep playing like this, you’ll never get anywhere.”

On March 12, Australia and Pakistan will begin their one-upmanship duel in the second Test of the three-match series. The match will take place at Karachi’s National Stadium.
