Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the squads of the Australia National Cricket Team for the upcoming white-ball and red-ball series against the England National Cricket Team and the West Indies National Cricket Team.
The Aussies are set to lock horns with the England National Cricket Team in a three-match ODI series, which is scheduled to commence on November 17.

Pat Cummins, who is the Test captain of Australia, has also been appointed as the new ODI captain of the side following Aaron Finch’s retirement and he will be leading the team for the first time in an ODI series.
Travis Head will be taking the opening spot after Finch’s departure and he will be opening the innings with David Warner in the three-match ODI series against England, confirmed chief selector George Bailey.
“Travis Head returns in place of Aaron Finch having played well in Pakistan and Sri Lanka earlier in the year,” selection chief George Bailey said.
“He has demonstrated flexibility in the types of roles he can play in our ODI line-up.”
“Our focus is to continue to build a squad with an eye to next year’s World Cup under Pat as the new ODI captain, so it’s an important series,” Bailey said.
“Our next opportunity in the ODI format will be in India next year which will allow us to experience similar conditions as for the World Cup in October.”
Marcus Harris retains his place after continuing to perform – George Bailey
After the conclusion of the three-match ODI series, Australia National Cricket Team will take on West Indies National Cricket Team in a two-match Test series, which will be played in Perth and Adelaide.
Meanwhile, Marcus Harris has retained his place in the Test squad for the series against West Indies after his consistent performance in domestic cricket. Victorian captain Peter Handscomb has been overlooked and Michael Neser, Mitchell Swepson and Jhye Richardson are absent due to the downsizing.
“Marcus Harris retains his place after continuing to perform for Gloucestershire in the English County competition and a strong start to the Marsh Sheffield Shield season,” Bailey said today.
“After some larger squads for the subcontinent tours over the winter, we have returned to a very similar squad to that which performed strongly last summer in comprehensively winning the Ashes.”
