I Am Confident Rohit Sharma Will Take Us To A World Cup Win - Yuzvendra Chahal

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has a strong team under his belt for the T20 World Cup this year and he can lead them to a title, as per leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal felt that the players are in top form and are extremely talented. When the World Cup begins later this year in Australia, they will definitely be one of the big favourites.

“I am confident Rohit bhaiyya will take us to a World Cup win. We have a strong team. We have a bunch of talented players. We have 15 to 20 players who can do wonders for the team. We have a super-strong team and we have a bright chance of lifting the trophy this time,” Chahal said in an exclusive chat with TimesofIndia.com.

Chahal spoke about the wonderful bond he shares with fellow leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, who is the other half of the famous duo, ‘Kulcha’. They wreaked havoc across countries with their middle-overs presence in white-ball matches but split apart after the 2019 ODI World Cup defeat to England in the group stages.

“I am very happy. Kuldeep is like my younger brother. We share a very good bond both on and off-field. He has come back after injuries and is raring to go. I missed him on the field. I hugged him when he hit the ground after a long time. I want to share the ball with him and take as many wickets as possible with him. KulCha will dominate again,” Chahal endearingly said.

The duo recently played together in the white-ball series against Sri Lanka. Although they weren’t nearly as effective as before, the fans were overjoyed at watching their favourite duo in action.
