Left-arm chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav made a stunning comeback from his off-form and proved himself to be a consistent wicket-taker for Indian Cricket Team.

After his return, Kuldeep Yadav took 48 wickets in 25 games across all cricket formats. In the last one year, the 28-year-old spinner has showcased his talent and proved himself to be a better bowler who can’t be dropped in any format’s squad.

In the fourth 20-over format match against West Indies on Saturday (August 12), Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role and led the Indian bowling attack in the first inning.

Yadav took two wickets in his four-over spell and gave away 26 runs. He managed to dismiss West Indies hard-hitters Rovman Powell, and Nicholas Pooran which helped the Men in Blues to keep a check on the target.

Kuldeep’s both wickets came in the same seventh over. In the first ball of the over, the Caribbean wicketkeeper, Pooran tried to send the ball over the long-on but due to lack of power, it lands on Suryakumar Yadav’s palms.

In the fifth ball of the over, West Indies skipper, Powell tried to hit it beyond on-side but it got an outside edge and Shubman Gill took the catch.

While speaking to Indian Express, Kuldeep Yadav’s boyhood coach Kapil Pandey saiid that once Ricky Ponting said to the chinaman spinner that he will include him in all the matches since of Delhi Capitals (DC) since he was their match winner.

“Ricky Ponting told him ‘I am going to play you all the matches. There is a reason Warnie (Shane Warne) likes you and I can see why. You are going to be our matchwinner’,” Kapil Pandey told.

Pandey further added that Rishabh Pant who is the Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper once said to Kuldeep Yadav that he is the best bowler in India and just keep performing.

“Rishabh told him ‘aapko acha karna hoga bhaiyya, aapse bada bowler nahi hai India mein (you have to do well, there is no better bowler than you in India)’,” Pandey added.

India will lock horns against West Indies in the upcoming T20I series decider match on Sunday (August 13) at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Florida.
