Ireland take on Afghanistan in the third T20I in Belfast on August 12. They are leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two games. The hosts won the game by 5 wickets as they chased down the target of 123 with five wickets and an over to spare.

The last three games thus becomes a must-win for the visitors who are taking the series to warm up their preparations ahead of the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup. The Afghanistan batting lineup did not stand a chance in front of the Irish bowlers. Joshua Little, Mark Adair, Curtis Campher and Gareth Delany took two wickets each in the second T20I.

” I’ve just found some nice rhythm. Looking to keep it as simple as possible. Something I was successful at the World Cup in the UAE (bowling round the wicket to the right-handers). If you get wickets in the powerplay, have a 70 percent chance of winning. WIckets in powerplay always key” said Little who was chosen as the Man of the Match for his spell of 2/18.
