KKR vs SRH Scorecard and Highlights: Pat Cummins (SRH captain) - Interview
They bowled fantastically. Old mate Starcy turned up again! Not enough tonight, totally outplayed. You hope you get some boundaries away but they bowled fantastically well, didn't give us anything. Similar to how they bowled in Ahmedabad. It was a tricky wicket. If we got 160, we felt we would have been in the game. So many (positives), the style with which the guys played especially with the bat. Lot of skills to get to 250 three times. I loved how brave the guys were. It was a lot of fun, great season.
KKR vs SRH Scorecard and Highlights: Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain) - Interview
"Absolutely comprehensive to be honest. This is what we demanded from the team and every individual. They stood out to the occasion. It is hard to express. The wait was longer than the match. We played like Invincibles throughout the season.
The performance has been flawless throughout. I am running out of words. We've been tremendous from game 1, stepped up today. All we demanded to back each other. This could have gone either way. We were lucky enough to bowl first. Every situation went in our favor. Thanks to SRH, they were phenomenal.
That's how big players stand up [on Starc]. He stepped up to the right occasion. Something to learn from his work ethics for the youngsters.
Russell is a magic wand. He is waiting for me to call him to bowl. I just pass on the bowl to him. Whenever he has bowled he has got us the breakthrough.
All the pacers made it easy for us to go out and finish the game. Everyone is stepping up at the right time. There is no individual performance which has brought us here. It has been a flawless season and hopefully we continue the same next year."

KKR vs SRH Scorecard and Highlights: Post-match comments
Venkatesh Iyer: Really happy, credit goes to Abhishek Nayar, all the credit in the world, the way he's worked for the franchise. he was the one who built this Indian core. We waited for 10 years, credit to the management and the coaching staff.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz: [on how his mom is doing] I think she will be watching, she is OK now. Before the match I spoke to my mom - I asked what do u want, she said, nothing just win. Salty played really well and my expectation was as the World Cup was coming, I wanted to prepare, also I had to be ready if Salty got injured, I got it and I was well prepared. Twice I'm champion of IPL, I'm lucky. When you work hard for 2 months and the result when it comes like this is special.
Rinku Singh: Outstanding feeling right now. Dream has come true - I have been here for 7 years and we are so happy. Credit to GG sir. I will finally lift the IPL trophy.
KKR team mentor/coach Abhishek Nayar: It means everything. It has taken a very long time. I have been with the IPL for 16 years and it has taken me so many years to be a champion. I'm, the big man here, this means a lot for him (on Russell).
Vaibhav Arora: My role is to take wickets with the new ball, we have very good spinners, so if we chipped in with 2-3 wickets, the spinners will do the rest.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi: The feeling hasn't sunk in and might do when we party tonight.
Nitish Rana: When GG bhai was appointed as the mentor I had messaged him and said I am very happy he's coming back to KKR, but he said that he would be happy if we are on that podium lifting the trophy.
Ramandeep Singh: It has been hard and we will celebrate no. The environment has been amazing and we gelled well together.
Varun Chakaravarthy: This has been a great season for me. All I can think of now is the person who has built the Indian core - Abhishek Nayar.
KKR's bowling coach, Bharat Arun: It has been pretty tough the last two years, we didn't qualify and there has been introspection and we worked on areas which needed to be worked on. [on Rana] He has been outstanding and it's about the bowler understanding what his strengths are and when he does, it comes out beautifully on the ground. Mitch coming into the team boosted the confidence of the other youngsters. He has been one of the best bowlers in world cricket and he has been in such situations before, it's about understanding Indian conditions and once he did that, it is magic all over. They have been outstanding, spinners mature with age, both bowling in tandem has worked exceptionally for us. He has brought a totally different dimension to our batting this year and it was Gautam who insisted that Sunny open and what Sunny did was outstanding.
Harshit Rana: Can't express it as we are so happy.

KKR all-rounder, Andre Russell: Very happy, very happy, especially getting three wickets in this game. We all know how important this game is. As big players, we all stood up tonight. Very happy with how I am bowling and very happy with how everyone's bowling. Just being disciplined, bowling to the plans and trying to bowl less bad balls. My fitness is a big part of that but mentally I am in a better space. I was mentally down for the last few years, going through a lot. At the end of the day, we stand firm, back ourselves and back the talent we have. My body is feeling very good, I want to stay this way for another couple of years. We are not going to take it (target) lightly. These guys (SRH) are going to come out and try to defend this total. We have to make sure that we get a good powerplay. If we get 40-50 without loss or even one wicket down, we are on our way. The bowlers set it up very well. We as batters have to get the job done.

The pitch has been very ticky SRH will be hoping for some good start, on the other hand, KKR will fancy their chance of chasing down this total comfortably. Lowest ever chase in an IPL, this will be a herculean tack for SRH.

KKR vs SRH Live Score and Updates: captains comments at toss
KKR Captain, Shreyas Iyer: We would have bowled, we'll get a fair idea about how the pitch will play. It's a red soil and we played our last game on a similar surface. We need to stay with the present, stick to the basics and execute all our plans. Every individual is taking responsibility, this is a big game, we've plenty of people who're playing in a final for the first time, nervous, but this is also a good chance. We're going with the same team.
SRH Captain, Pat Cummins: We will bat first. Looks like a good wicket, played on a different wicket the other night. There was no dew on the other night's game, we have a style which doesn't work always, but when it does, it's very damaging. I want to crack with the bat first. We have done well defending scores. Pretty much the same, Shahbaz comes in for Samad.

KKR vs SRH Live Score and Updates: Pitch Report by Ian Bishop and Matthew Hayden
It's a red soil pitch, 63m and 70m square boundaries, the straight boundary is at 77m. Red clay tends to have a lot of bounce, this is a well prepared pitch and we should have a high scoring game. The scores could range anywhere around 175-190. This is the third final at this venue and there have been high scores in both the previous games. Not a lot of spin, but significant bounce. Unconventional shots, horizontal bat shots is what the batters will look to do against spin. The groundsmen have assured that there'll be no dew tonight as well, say Ian Bishop and Matthew Hayden, in their pitch report.
KKR vs SRH Live Score and Updates: Sunrisers Hyderabad (Team News)
This match will test Cummins's ability to manage his bowlers. KKR has left-handers at the top (Narine) and in the middle (Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh), limiting Cummins's use of Abhishek Sharma and Shahbaz Ahmed, who were match-winners two days ago.
He might need to find opportunities with two right-handers in the middle to bowl an over or two from either, while the quicks handle the bulk of the work. Nitish Reddy’s bowling could also be called upon.

Run scoring in Chepauk has been challenging this season, while some pitches have produced runs, they others have helped the bowlers a lot. It will be interesting to see how the pitch plays today in this high-octane final. The uncertainty of dew. It stayed away just two nights ago in the second qualifier but what transpires on Sunday is unknown.
Even Pat Cummins admitted there wasn't a way of making an educated guess about its arrival or otherwise. The final will be played on pitch #4, a red soil wicket. SRH brought back Aiden Markram after the first qualifier to add stability to their batting in case of a top-order collapse. Markram's numbers against Varun Chakravarthy, a 20-wicket spinner for the second season in a row with a commendable economy rate (8.15 and 8.19), make him a key option once again.
