The Proteas’ temporary Test coach, Malibongwe Maketa, was named by Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday.

For the Australia series, Charl Langeveldt, Justin Sammons, and Justin Ontong will remain as part of the support team as bowling, batting, and fielding coaches. Maketa has previously collaborated with each of them. It is also known that Maketa plans to submit an application for the permanent position once CSA posts it in the upcoming weeks.

There has been no indication as of the time of publication of who might succeed as T20 coach. For all three of the game’s forms, Boucher served as the national coach.
