Star Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan showered praise on Indian red-ball captain Virat Kohli and said that he “is number one in the world”.
Kohli and Rizwan met during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 high-profile battle between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, where for the very first time in the history of cricket, Pakistan won a World Cup game against the Indian team.

Meanwhile, Star wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan said that all the players are like a family whenever they play cricket. He also revealed a thing that the Indian skipper Kohli told him when Pakistan opted for a review against Rishabh Pant in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match.
“No doubt Virat Kohli is number one in the world,” Rizwan told Paktv.tv.
“When we play cricket, we are all like a family. When we took a review against Pant after he played a reverse sweep, he (Kohli) said are you trying to get all of us out in 10 overs?” he said.
Virat Kohli Is A Really Nice Guy – Mohammad Rizwan
The 29-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman also lauded Kohli and labelled him as a “ really nice guy”.
“When we were batting, he also said a few things. I can’t repeat the things that were said, but all I can say is that he is a really nice guy.”
Talking about the battle between arch-rivals in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi dismantled India’s top-order by dismissing Rohit Sharma on duck and KL Rahul at the score 3.
However, Virat Kohli had a good partnership with Rishabh Pant and the former even scored a half-century and helped India score 151 runs.
Chasing the target openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) completed the 152 runs chase without losing a wicket to earn a historic victory.
Also, the Babar Azam-led side performed brilliantly in the group stage as they won all 5 games. However, they lost the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 against eventual champions Australia.
