Punjab Kings takes on SRH in their last and final league game of IPL 2024 on Sunday, May 19. The match starts at 3.30 pm IST. PBKS are already eliminated from the tournament.

Meanwhile, SRH have already qualified for the playoffs after their rained-out game against GT. They are on 15 points and placed third on the table. A top-two finish is not in their hands following the rained-out game.

Heading into this game, the Kings are likely to miss their England overseas starts and also Kagiso Rabada who has returned to South Africa with an infection in the soft tissue of a lower limb. He is now under medical treatment and is expected to be fit for the T20 World Cup 2024.

This has been another disappointing season for Punjab Kings who last made the playoffs in 2014. They also made the final that season but lost out to KKR.

So far KKR and RR have qualified for the IPL 2024 playoffs. Punjab Kings are eliminated but they can play spoilsport in SRH's campaign. A loss here for SRH will make their campaign as interesting as they are.

Given that PBKS are likely to miss many of their overseas superstars, a few chances are possible in the PBKS playing XI. Shikhar Dhawan's return should be on the cards now that he has missed almost a month of cricket in the IPL.
