There Are Issues With Pakistan Team, How Will You Catch India: Danish Kaneria Slams Abdul Razzaq’s Statement On India

Former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has slammed his former teammate Abdul Razzaq’s bold statement in which he had said that India can never match Pakistan in the talent department and that the Pakistan team is miles better than their India counterparts.

Razzaq’s statement came ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 build when the two subcontinental giants will face off for the first time after their 2019 World Cup encounter, on October 24 in Dubai cricket stadium. The two cricketing nations only play in ICC tournaments and haven’t played a bilateral series since 2012-13. Also, Pakistan had never beaten India even a single time in World Cups be it the 20-over event or the 50-over one.

Kaneria believes there is no competition as far as talent is concerned, stressing how difficult it has been for Pakistan to form a T20 World Cup squad in the first place. Danish Kaneria doesn’t feel Pakistan’s batting has enough match-winners apart from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

“Pakistan doesn’t have stability in their batting and bowling. Razzaq says that dismiss Kohli and Rohit and it will be easy to catch this Indian team. Nonsense, how will you catch this Indian team? There are issues in forming the Pakistan team itself. Where is your batting who will win you matches? England’s B team defeated us. The selection looks in shambles, it’s a very poor statement to make,” Kaneria said on his YouTube Channel.

India Has Been Performing Well In Every Department: Danish Kaneria

The former leg-spinner who picked 261 wickets in 61 Tests for Pakistan further said that when compared to Pakistan, India had multiple match-winners in their lineup and have been performing better than the Men in Green in all departments of the game.

“It was not expected from an international-level cricketer whose stature is so high in Pakistan. India has the upper hand over Pakistan. India has been performing well in every department. They have players like Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, etc. How will you get them out?” Kaneria said on his YouTube Channel.

Kaneria also commented on Razzaq’s statement on India pacer Jasprit Bumrah whom the former Pakistani all-rounder had degraded by calling him an average bowler. The leggie said that Bumrah is world-class and is arguably the best at bowling his yorkers.

“Earlier also, Razzaq commented on Bumrah. After Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, i have never seen anyone bowl a yorker as perfect as Bumrah bowls. There is no better bowler born in Pakistan who nails a yorker like Bumrah. His bowling is outstanding. No bowler even comes close to Bumrah from Pakistan who can give him competition,” Kaneria concluded.

India and Pakistan will clash on October 24 in Dubai in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
