Suryakumar Yadav will be remembered forever for the catch he took to dismiss David Miller in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados.
The Proteas were still in the game in the final over with Miller batting and South Africa needing 16 to win, However, he hit a wide full toss straight over long off and SKY was just at the right position at the right time for the catch.
He took the catch initially and balanced himself as he did not touch the boundary cushions. he then lofted the ball in the air as he crossed the boundary line, brought him back into the field of play, and completed the catch.
The way he threw that ball in the air as he completed the catch was proof in itself that it was a clean catch. The third umpires after conclusive evidence on television replays also ruled the decision in favour of India much to the relief of the players and the fans.

"At that moment I did not think whether I would be able to catch the ball or not and once the ball came in my hand, I had to pick it up and pass it to the other side... We have practiced this thing a lot," said SKY on his catch.
The Indian batter scored just three in the final but throughout the tournament played a few crucial knocks for India. He scored 199 runs in the tournament with two fifty-plus scores against USA and Afghanistan. He scored 31 against Australia and 47 crucial runs in the semi-final against England.
He further spoke about practicing those catches within a match scenario and spoke about the method of taking those catches under the watchful eyes of India's fielding coach T Dilip.
"We have practised this style of catching a lot in our fielding sessions. I also thought about how can I contribute to my team apart from my batting skills. Since the start of the tournament and also throughout the IPL we practicised these kind of catches in our fielding sessions. However, little did I know that I had to take this crucial catch in the final. Since a I already practised a lot taking these kind of catches in our fielding sessions which is why i managed to stay cool and calm in that situation. I felt very good after taking the catch with the people in the background cheering for me" said SKY in his interaction with PM Modi.
Meanwhile, India's T20 World Cup win brought an end to India's ICC title drought for 11 years. They won their last ICC ODI World Cup in 2007 and the T20 World Cup in 2007. Rohit Sharma became the only Indian player to win an ICC title as a player and as a captain.
