India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma, along with Ravichandran Ashwin, played a vital role for the team in the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The hosts won the opening match of the game by a massive margin of 280 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Ravichandran Ashwin was terrific with bat and ball in the game against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The all-rounder came up with the magical effort that saw the India National cricket team win the first game and take a massive lead of 1-0 in the two-match Test series.
Ravichandran Ashwin first came up with a powerful effort with the bat. He slammed his 6th Test century and bailed the India National Cricket Team out of trouble. He slammed 113 runs off 133 balls and also hit 10 fours and 2 sixes in his innings, which powered India to 376 runs.
After that, Ravichandran Ashwin unveiled his magic with the ball in the second innings. The off-spinner picked 6 wickets with the ball and helped India win the game. He returned with the figures of 6/88 as the hosts bundled out the opposition for 234 runs to win the game.
On the other hand, although Rohit Sharma didn't step up for his team with the bat he won, he was top-notch in his leadership. The India captain was brilliant with his tactics in the game as he made staggering bowling changes and then also was spot on with his fielding changes as India ticked almost every box right.
After the match, Rohit Sharma made sure that he came up with a gesture. The India captain was seen spending time with the family of Ravichandran Ashwin. The opening batter was speaking with the daughter of the off-spinner, and the video of that incident went viral on the internet with the fans applauding India's captain.

Ravichandran Ashwin talks about his plan on the Chennai pitch
Ravichandran Ashwin talked about his plan on the Chennai pitch. He said that he wanted to bowl slowly as the surface was reacting only on slower balls. He also mentioned that he enjoys playing under pressure and admitted that he thinks like a bowler when he is batting.
Ashwin also opened up about whether this century was his fastest, saying that playing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League helped him. He stated:
"Pace was critical, I was earning my right to bowl slower, this is a surface where one which was reacting was when you go slower. But if you bowl a lot slower, there is time to play you off the back foot. I embrace pressure, I really enjoy being under pressure, I'm thinking like a bowler when I go in to bat. If there's a bowler who is at the backend of the spell, I let it go but otherwise I play shots and transfer the pressure.
"[if he knew this was his fastest 100] That I figured out as it was coming at a rapid pace. Generally here when you hit the ball it doesn't travel faster, but this was a different pitch, felt like back in the 2010s, what helped was the preparation I put in while playing TNPL. "
