There is no doubt about the fact that India is one of the best teams in the world at the moment. Be it batting, bowling or fielding, the men in Blue have been quite brilliant in all 3 formats of the game in the recent past. They defeated South Africa in both the ODI and the T20I series and ran them close in the Test series. They have a huge set of players to choose from. There are specialists in different formats which has helped India emerge as the fittest team in the world.

With the World Cup coming up in less than a year’s time, the team management will look to rotate the players in order to keep the top players match fit for the quadrennial event. The team has quite a few relatively new faces who have a year or two of international experience under their belt. However, they have been so consistent in the last year or so, there is no denying the fact that they will be part of the 2019 World Cup squad.

Let us now have a look at 5 Indian players who will be making debut in the 2019 World Cup

Hardik Pandya

Within a year and a half, Hardik has established himself as the most reliable all-rounder. He has been often compared to former greats. Hardik packs a punch and is an asset to any team especially in the limited overs format. He is a powerful striker of the ball and can turn any match on its head. He has a knack of smashing spinners with utter disdain.

In the last two years, Hardik has also emerged as an impressive bowler. During the earlier part of his relatively short career, Hardik used to bowl a lot of short of length deliveries which helped batsmen score quickly against him. However, he has improved quite a bit in the recent past. He was one of the leading wicket-taker in the IPL. Besides his bowling and batting prowess, Hardik is a sensational fielder. Some of the catches he takes are simply extraordinary. He is also a brilliant ground fielder.
