Of late, sexual harassment is becoming a regular scenario in India. The various cases against the celebrities in the town are being laid by the victims, especially, after the #Metoo movement took the boost. Recently, Mithali Raj also made her voice on the same issue as well. Meanwhile, we figured out 6 cricketers who got accused of sexual harassment.

6. Luke Pomersbach:

The left-handed Australian batsman, Luke Pomersbach was taken into custody by the Indian policemen. He was accused by his fiance for the molestation and hurting her. The incident took place when he featured for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2012.

Later, he was taken to court and learnt that he fainted while hearing the judgement. However, the issue got settled down when she dropped her charges against him. After that, he was never recalled again by the franchise.

5. Rubel Hossain:

The regular member in the Bangladesh cricket team also faced the similar allegations. He was charged and kept in the jail after an actress accused him of attempting to rape. Rubel was arrested after he was named to participate in the ICC World Cup 2015.

Despite the off-field issues, Rubel Hossain did brilliantly for Bangladesh thus helping them to reach quarterfinals of the tournament. Eventually, the Bangladeshi actress withdrew her complaint to sigh relief for the youngster.

4. Arjun Ranatunga:

Yes, the stalwart player of Sri Lanka was also involved in the list of cricketers who was accused of sexual harassment. His name recently came out when an Indian flight attendant revealed via her Facebook account.

The lady made her voice out after the #metoo movement took the boost. According to the post, he had indulged in inappropriate touching when she was taking a stroll by the pool at Hotel Juhu Centaur in Mumbai. Meanwhile, investigations are yet to be made.

3. Lasith Malinga:

The yorker specialist and one of the greats of the game, Lasith Malinga also got accused of the same. His case also came when the notable singer Chinmai Sripada expressed her unpleasant experience in the Twitter world.

The latest #Metoo movement has given the guts for the women to raise their voice on their notable names in Asia. However, a police case is yet to get registered on him. As per the tweet, the incident took place in Mumbai. Might be during the IPL season.

2. Makhaya Ntini:

Another great of the game makes it to the list. However, his case is a bit peculiar one of all. The fast bowler was accused of an alleged rape on the housekeeper at Buffalo Park. Being a black cricketer, a lot of ruckuses took place during the time.

However, the court adjudged him a for a few months jail before being acquited. After the fine performance in the domestic circuit, he was once again called back into the national team and also delivered the goods to become GOAT.

1. Amit Mishra:

The leg-spinner also got arrested on the same accuse. Surprisingly, the friend of Amit Mishra complained alleged abusing and harassment. The incident took place in 2015 in Bangalore.

Amit Mishra was the star for Indian team three years ago before the emergence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Currently, he isn’t in the selection radar, as the spinner’s slot isn’t vacant in the Indian team.

Coming back to the case, he instantly got the bail after the charges. Later, the lady withdrew her complaint to set Amit Mishra free from the case.
