What a series it was for Cheteshwar Pujara in Australia. The flamboyant batsman has been the force to reckon with in the series, which ended the 71-year drought for Indian National Cricket Team. Meanwhile, the former legendary Australian bowler Brett Lee makes his voice on the plan to bowl at Pujara.

Cheteshwar Pujara has been in outstanding form in Australia. Last month, he had bailed India out of trouble with a sublime 123 at the Adelaide Oval. Before that, he scored another half-century in the second innings, which ensured India had enough on the board to secure a historic win. Then, he went on to knock 193 at SCG.

When Brett Lee was asked to answer his way of dealing Pujara, Lee replied saying that he would prefer seeking blessings from the god before delivering at him. Further, he added that Pujara has been pretty rock-solid in his approach to the Indian side.

Brett Lee is pretty much impressed with the way Cheteshwar Pujara goes about his batting at the highest level of the game. He believes that Pujara puts a very high price on his wicket, which certainly makes job tough for the bowlers, especially, fast bowlers, who runs in under the hot sun.

“If I had to bowl to Pujara, I would have prayed! Seriously, he is so good and puts such a heavy price on his wicket. Pujara really is a freak of nature… Look at his statistics… Three Centuries. Our best? Harris’s 79 in the first innings at the SCG,” Brett Lee said to The Telegraph.

Speaking of Virat Kohli captaincy, he added “The performances of Jasprit Bumrah (21 wickets), Cheteshwar Pujara (521 runs), Mohammed Shami (16 wickets)… Virat Kohli’s captaincy was Outstanding… Virat has shown the correct aggression, or aggression at the right time… Then, his field placements have been wonderful. Now, Virat is on the cusp of history, becoming the first captain from India to win a Test series on our soil. Congratulations to him and India.”

Well, it seems like Brett Lee is pretty much impressed with the way Pujara batted for India. Meanwhile, as Lee said, Virat Kohli has also been fantastic in the 4-match Test series down under.
