DC vs KKR: Twitterati Praise DC’s Kuldeep Yadav As He Picks Yet Another Four-Wicket Haul Against Ex-Franchise KKR  

Kuldeep Yadav, the Delhi Capitals (DC) spinner was the toast of the evening in their IPL 2022 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 28, 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium. This was a return match between the two sides, with DC having won the previous encounter against KKR in Brabourne stadium.

DC captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first. that DC had made two changes as Mitchell Marsh was back in the XI after recovering from COVID-19 and also Chetan Sakariya made his DC debut in place of injured Khaleel Ahmed.

KKR, on the other hand, made three changes as Aaron Finch was back, Baba Indrajith and Harshit Rana made their debuts for the two-time IPL champions.

A returning Aaron Finch was dismissed for 3 by Chetan Sakariya who started well on his DC debut, and then Axar Patel dismissed Venkatesh Iyer for 6 runs. Then they lost four wickets to ex-Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the middle overs.

Kuldeep Yadav Follows His 4/35 In Brabourne Against KKR With 4/14 In Wankhede Against His Former Franchise  

Kuldeep Yadav then sprang into action and picked the important wickets of Shreyas Iyer (42), Babar Indrajith, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell (0) to reduce KKR to 83/6 in 14 overs. Baba Indrajith, the KKR debutant, was caught by Rovman Powell for 6 runs.

Then, Iyer was caught brilliantly by Rishabh Pant, as he pouched a low catch to his right of an under edge from Iyer, sending him back for a well-made 42 in 37 balls with 4 fours. Baba Indrajith Andre Russell was stumped by Pant, off Kuldeep as he tried to hoick him out of Wankhede, while Sunil Narine was out LBW, despite taking a DRS review.

In the end, Kuldeep Yadav finished with 4/14 in 3 overs, following his 4/35 against KKR which he took at the Brabourne Stadium.

KKR posted a decent total of 146/9 in 20 overs thanks to Nitish Rana’s 57 in 34 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Kuldeep Yadav was praised by one and all on Twitter and here are some of the best tweets.
