Australian legend Dean Jones has expressed his views on the Kohli-Smith debate. He has weighed in on the conversation by asserting who he believes is the better of both across formats. The comparison has again gained rise as both batters have had performed exceptionally well during the recently-concluded India-Australia three-match ODI series. However, Kohli bagged the Man of the Series award as India went on to clinch the series 2-1.
The debate regarding who is the better batsman is on for a long time now. In 2018, Smith suffered a massive blow in his international career when he was banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a year following the unfolding of the ball-tampering saga in Cape Town. But, his return to international cricket has been fantastic. The resolute Smith scored a half-century in the second ODI at Rajkot and a hard-fought century in the final ODI of the series in Bengaluru.
