IPL 2020: Match 13: Kings XI Punjab Vs Mumbai Indians: MI Predicted XI

The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians side have made a poor start to their IPL 2020 campaign by losing two of their opening three matches. Their last game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore went down to the wire and had to be decided in a super over. The men in blue could only manage 7 runs in the same which was easily chased down by the RCB.

In their next game, they will take on the Kings XI Punjab at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Thursday. Here is a look at the Mumbai Indians predicted XI for the clash.

Chris Lynn

Chris Lynn could finally get the nod in this edition of the IPL after Quinton De Kock failed to perform in three consecutive matches. Chris Lynn’s exceptional abilities as a power hitter can turn out to be fruitful for the Mumbai Indians.

Rohit Sharma

The skipper remains a constant in the team and will continue to open the innings. Sharma played brilliantly to score 80 runs against the Kolkata Knight Riders but has failed to hit big numbers in the other two games. The team will rely heavily on their captain for a sublime start to the game.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav goes into the Punjab match with scores of 17, 47, and 0 in the last three matches. He has failed to live up to the expectations of his side and this might very well be his last chance before getting dropped.

Ishan Kishan

Given a chance in the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Ishan Kishan has grabbed the opportunity in style. He rose up to the occasion and played a dazzling knock of 99 runs which helped his team level a mammoth target of 201 runs. Needless to say, the in-form wicketkeeper-batsman will be hoping to repeat the same feat against Punjab.

Hardik Pandya

The supremely talented all-rounder is a crucial part of the team in all conditions. As far as this edition of the IPL is concerned, Pandya hasn’t been able to score big thus far but will definitely look to turn around his fortunes against Punjab.

Kieron Pollard

One of the most experienced t20 players of all-time, Kieron Pollard is a gem in the Mumbai Indians line-up. The big West Indian smashed 60 runs in 24 balls against the Royal Challengers Bangalore which turned out to be essential in the run chase.

Krunal Pandya

The elder one of the Pandya brothers, Krunal Pandya is another player who hasn’t been able to find his form in the tournament. However, his genuine potential as an all-rounder will surely see him in the line-up once again.

While James Pattinson was brilliant with the ball in the first two matches, he turned out to be costly in the third. Pattinson already has three wickets to his name in the tournament thus far and will hope to increase the count on Thursday.

Rahul Chahar

The right-arm legbreak bowler has been decent with his performances in the tournament thus far. Chahar has picked up four wickets in three matches and hasn’t gone wicketless in any. The 21-year-old is expected to play a vital role in the middle overs.

Trent Boult

The Kiwi speedster has been brilliant with the ball for his side in the opening three matches. With 5 wickets in his bag already, Trent Boult remains a serious threat to any opposition.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah’s presence in the team is a no brainer. The extraordinarily talented bowler is yet to find his best form in the tournament but will continue to remain a regular in the side.
