A couple of days after Sanjay Manjrekar’s remark about him, India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has posted a cryptic message on Twitter. The former India batsman recently raised a number of eyebrows by questioning Ravindra Jadeja’s place in India’s limited-overs squad.
Sanjay Manjrekar’s comments came a day after India’s loss to Australia in the first ODI last week. Speaking about his selection thought process, the outspoken commentator cited the example of Ravindra Jadeja and said that he does not like players who make it to the playing eleven without being a specialist in either batting or bowling.

“My selection and thoughts are based on a principle that I have learnt over the years: if you have specialists who can walk-in based on one discipline, you fill your team with those players,” Sanjay Manjrekar had told The Hindu.
“I do not have a problem with Jadeja; I have a problem with his kind of cricketers in white-ball cricket. Even Hardik Pandya will not be in my team. They add illusionary value to the team. Of course, I have always rated Jadeja highly in the Test format,” he had added.
Ravindra Jadeja’s cryptic message:
This is not the first time Sanjay Manjrekar has come up with a controversial comment for the allrounder. During last year’s World Cup, he had faced severe criticism for calling the India ace ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer. Later, Jadeja had hit back at Manjrekar and had asked him to stop his ‘verbal diarrhoea’.

But unlike the last time, Ravindra Jadeja has posted a cryptic message this time around. The allrounder posted a photo of himself with the caption: “Stay calm”.
Meanwhile, India have already lost the three-match ODI series to Australia after losing the first two games. As far as Jadeja’s performance is concerned, it has been very average. In the first game, he went wicketless for 63 runs before scoring 25 runs while in the second he went wicketless for 60 while scoring 24.
