Punjab’s promising fast bowler Siddarth Kaul has had a career full of injuries. But, he has made a great way back in the List A tournaments for his team. He is currently eyeing a spot in the Indian team for the 2020 ICC World T20, later this year, and believes that IPL will be the stage where he could strengthen his case.
Kaul has had ups and downs in recent years. He was instrumental in the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s run to the final in the 2018 IPL. He was the most successful Indian bowler with 21 wickets to his name.
In 2017, he finished with 16 wickets from 10 games for SRH. In the 2019 season, he had a small share and played seven games picking six wickets in the process.

“I think my mind was clear then from performing well in the domestic games and then coming into the IPL you feel confident. Whenever you perform well it gives you a good boost in confidence and your approach to the wicket is different, the rhythm is different,” Kaul maintained.
“The IPL is indeed a big platform to get selected, but what I think is that if I perform everyone will notice and if I don’t they won’t,” said Kaul.
Kaul added, “For me, performance is the most important thing. I am not thinking of the IPL, I am just concentrating on the upcoming games. And I will make sure that I give my best for my team.”
Kaul has not had a good international career so far. He has represented India in three ODIs and has gone wicketless.
In T20Is, he has played for India in three games and has clinched four wickets. In the IPL, Kaul has 45 games to his name and has snared 49 wickets in the tournament.
