Just like the previous editions, the fans have played a huge role in making the ongoing World Cup a successful one. Almost all the games have witnessed jam-packed crowds. The fans have come out in large numbers to support their teams. And the social media has been flooded with different interesting videos of fans’ activities in the stands.

Recently, a video of a West Indies fan is going viral on Twitter. In the video, the fan can be seen taking on the Indian fans singlehandedly when India and West Indies locked horns in Manchester on Thursday. As expected, the stadium was looking blue courtesy the huge number of Indian fans. A very few West Indies fans also turned up for the clash.

The video showed the West Indies fan riling up the Indian fans by shouting the slogans of their arch-rivals Pakistan. A few moments later, few other fans joined him too as they all shouted, ‘Pakistan zindabaad’.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Talking about the game, the Indian fans had the last laugh. India thrashed West Indies by 125 runs to end the latter’s hopes of progressing ahead. Batting first, India posted a competitive total of 268 for 7. Skipper Virat Kohli made 72 while MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten 56, which saw him take 16 runs from the final over. KL Rahul also played a fine knock of 48 while Hardik Pandya scored 46.

In reply, West Indies were all out for just 143. They could never recover after Mohammed Shami sent back Chris Gayle and Shai Hope cheaply. The two-time World Cup-winners kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually all out for the paltry total. Shami finished the match with 4 wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah picked two apiece. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav also picked up one wicket each.

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
