It has been over a decade since the Indian Premier League started and went on to become the biggest cricket league in the world. Its success inspired many countries to start their own T20 tournaments. But so far, none of the other leagues have matched the IPL. Be it the star power, the fans’ involvement or the money on offer, the IPL is way ahead of its other counterpart.
And throughout all these years, the BCCI has also now allowed the active Indian players to play in overseas leagues. Recently, Yuvraj Singh turned out in Global T20 Canada but had to announce his retirement for the same. And the BCCI is unlikely to change its stance anytime soon. In the last few years, several organisers have been yearning to have Indian players ply their trade in their leagues. And now former India pacer Zaheer Khan has also echoed the same sentiments.

It would be great to see more Indian players take part in the Abu Dhabi T10 league and express themselves,” Zaheer Khan told IANS.
He also spoke about the format that will see each team play only ten overs. The games will conclude in around 90 minutes.
“Abu Dhabi T10 league is such an exciting format that it has garnered tremendous popularity globally. Last year I was a part of the tournament and I realized the amount of potential the format has, I am really looking forward to the new season and Abu Dhabi should be a great location for the league. T10 is the definitely the next big thing in cricket and it is here to stay,” said the left-arm pacer.
